Dressed Mullein Stalk Candles

Mullein stalk candles, also known as hag tapers, witch’s candles, or mullein torches, come straight out of hoodoo and old Southern folk traditions. These tapers are handcrafted from dried mullein stalks dipped in pure local beeswax, giving you a slow, steady flame that carries prayers, petitions, and intention. Each one is dressed with herbs chosen for a specific purpose:

Dreams – Mugwort and Blue Lotus to open the dream gates and support prophetic or intuitive dreaming.
Protection – Rue, Agrimony, and Yarrow to shield you, your home and spirit from harm.
Cleansing & Way Opening – Hyssop, Basil, Boneset, and Blue Cornflower to purify, remove obstacles, and open new roads.
Love – Rose to invite sweetness, tenderness, and true love energy.

How to use: If your mullein candle doesn’t have a stalk, set it in a candle holder or nestle it into a bowl filled with sand or salt. Make sure it’s sitting on a fire-safe surface. Candles with the full stalk can be placed directly into the earth, or you can trim the stalk and burn it just like above.

Whether you’re lighting it inside or out, keep it far away from anything that can catch fire. Never leave a burning torch unattended. Let that flame do its work safely.
